H&M Collaboration with Design House Kenzo
#HMBalmaination was a big deal and ever since that H&M collaboration happened everyone has wondered who will be the next guest designer and guess what, it has been revealed! Recently H&M announced that its next designer collaboration will be with French luxury brand Kenzo – the brand known for its crazy vibrant prints. The Kenzo designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have collaboration in their blood. Early on at the LVMH owned brand, they teamed up with Vans, and more recently they created a range of Jungle Book themed merchandise. The collection will be launching worldwide in selected H&M stores and online on November 3rd 2016 and it will feature clothes and accessories for both men and women. Vogue has also reported that there will be a runway show for the collection that will take place in October 2016.
We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us.
We don’t have any pictures of what the range will actually look like just yet, but from in an Interview with H&M, Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M said: “We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion”.
Humberto added that they wanted to make each piece in the collection have its own value and that it feels special, but that ‘the collection as a whole feels really united.
We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M.
The Kenzo x H&M collaboration promises to be different. Ann-Sofie Johansson said: “Balmain was glamorous and sexy, and this is vibrant, young, and fun.” H&M collaboration has been chosen with Kenzo for it’s aesthetic that “captures the energy of global culture to create its unique, youthful spirit” and we are expecting to see a lot of colorful prints, bright neons, animal prints considering that the teaser video was filled with it (watch it below).
