But we run into something even more uncommon! It’s was a real joy to find and as you all know there is no limit to someones imagination and we found some styles that perhaps you didn’t even know existed. Shoes are a very hard wardrobe part to design especially if you’re striving to design a masterpiece. You must pay close attention to the ‘engineering’ component in building an excellent pair of shoes. The designer of these shoes is a painter and photographer and a complete pro. His name is Nick Adelman and he is determined to express his true love for Art History, creating an amazing historic journey through unique pairs of high fashion heels.

I designed these shoes with a unique goal in mind: to create a shoe as a summation of an entire culture’s art. Each shoe possesses design qualities, colour palettes, and designs only found in the respective culture. This project allowed me to investigate art historical cultures in a special way by challenging myself to translate an entire style (or series of styles) onto a single object. – Nick Adelman

The artist selected to showcase the diversity between ethnic ages, presenting 10 historic photos seen from the cultural aspect. Seems amazing, doesn’t it? Each shoe takes you for a walk through the cultural part of the history. We can definitely say it is a much more interesting way to explore art than the way people already do.



As Nick attempted to recognise the most attractive components from every age and exemplify them in his shoe designs (and absolutely nailed it!); most of us will likely become interested in the cultural facets of artwork a lot more.

The details on each style is absolutely stunning and every shoes ensures the design qualities, color palettes, and designs only found in the certain culture. Just imagine the amount of research that would have gone into this project in order to represent each culture perfectly.
