How To Start A Clothing Line For A Cause: Yuvraj Singh’s YWC
Last night at a star-studded affair a new fashion line was launched by Yuvraj Singh called “YWC Fashion”. Famous Bollywood actors and notable cricketers were there to support Yuvraj such as Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Farah Khan, along with former teammates and present cricketers. West Indies stars Dwayne Bravo and Chris Gayle were also present at the event. After Yuvraj Singh’s struggling but successful battle with cancer he started the YouWeCan NGO to fight cancer in 2012. He has been struggling to collect funds for it which is why he needed something big to streamline revenues. How to start a clothing line for a cause is something everyone will learn from Yuvraj Singh. With his new fashion line YWC his goal is to direct all the profits from his clothing line to his NGO.
“I hope my story will connect with people and motivate them. It’s about never giving up the fight. YWC’s motto is ‘Live, Dare, Inspire!’”
“Now a person can buy apparel from YWC and they’ve automatically contributed to the NGO while wearing a premium piece of clothing”

The material used for the line is Pima cotton which is one of the finest in the world along with being organic cotton that breathes easy. 70% of the collection is menswear and the rest is womenswear. YCW Fashion has a casual line as well as a premium high range fashion line that is called the Gold collection which has been designed and created in collaboration with fashion designers Shantanu and Nikhil. He learnt how to start a clothing line from these designers by visiting their factory and learning the whole process of how a garment is made and it left Yuvraj very impressed.
The Yuvi Fit
“I have a very athletic mindset. I used to buy clothes that were tight and tell myself that I’ll get fitter just to wear this. So, we have introduced the ‘Yuvi fit’, which has well-fitted clothes according to my body shape. The army jackets from the Gold collection are also pretty cool. The one with red stripes is my favourite.”
