India Runway Week 2016 – Bani Khurana

India Runway Week
India Runway Week is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event. Each season of the IRW introduce new talent and places young Indian designers on the global fashion stage. It is a platform for both established and upcoming talented designers and today on the first day of India Runway Week Summer Edition 2016 I attended Bani Khurana’s show; a Delhi based young fashion designer.
A big shout out to a friend of mine, Urvashi Kumar (Fashion & Beauty blogger at The Right Shade of Red) who was kind enough to lend me the passes for the show.
Bani Khurana is an Indo fusion brand and is the Epitome of classic fashion. Her approach as a perfectionist has taken her through this journey. Her inspiration comes from the women who is in love with herself and her outfits have a unique Indian style yet very contemporary.
Bani Khurana – Looks from the Show
During the show we saw some powder blues, pretty peaches, yellows, and pastels with definite cuts. Refreshing summer prints in her lehengas, pants and drapes were beautiful and the perfect opening looks for the show. Capes and off-shoulder looks were also seen, keeping in trend with this year’s summer forecast. She used some very interesting cuts and silhouettes for this years collection, we saw drapes over trousers and new cut crop tops. All in all there were some very feminine and contemporary looks for your brunch outfits and evening gowns.
