White hair? So soon? Why? These are the type of questions I hear from almost every girl I know, in today’s day it is a huge problem. Lots of things could be causing it, perhaps it could be hereditary but the main cause could be our lifestyle today and food habits and unlike our mothers we are struggling to find a way to cover up our white hair at this young age. I love my hair, well atleast now I do after lots of experiments and permanent straightening the hair I have now is just perfect with a lot of volume and some soft natural curls. Suddenly I found my hair becoming white and I panicked and the first thing I did was use hair colour (biggest mistake!). After this mistake which I made a few times I decided I had to find a healthier way for my hair and even though I always knew about henna I never liked it because of the reddish-orange colour that it gives. Kama Ayurveda’s Organic Hair colour kit is an the ideal treatment to colour your hair dark brown to almost black in the most organic way staying away from harmful colour dyes.  Today I am going to show you a step by step process of how to apply these two products on your hair easily at home.

What you need
Organic Henna Powder, Organic Indigo Powder, water, coffee, salt, lemon, a comb, mixing bowl and brush.

Mix some henna powder with water, lemon and coffee to make a paste and leave it overnight for best results.

With the help of your comb start creating partitions on your head to make it easy to apply the henna.

With the brush start applying the henna wherever it is necessary and there is white hair. Leave it on for around 1 hour and rinse the hair with water.

Once you have rinsed, check your hair it should have that strong reddish-orange colour that any henna would give but don’t worry that is what the indigo powder it for.

Mix the indigo powder with water  and a teaspoon of salt (salt is supposed to further enhance the dye release) to make a thick paste and leave it for 10-15 minutes.

On damp hair apply the paste on your hair using the brush. Leave it on your hair for around 90 minutes and then wash your hair.

Hopefully now all your white hair is gone! Another point the Indigo will take 1-2 days to oxidize completely and thus you will have amazing black hair. Here are some pictures of my hair right after this whole process, which is rather long I have to say. So when you do not have so much time in your hands you can do this in a two day process by applying henna on the first day and indigo the next day.
