MTV VMA 2016 Best Red Carpet Celebrity Looks

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) became a record-breaking evening that took place at Madison Square Garden in New York last night. It was the 33rd annual ceremony which had a star-studded guest list as always. The reason this year the MTV VMA was a record-breaking event was because the big winner of the night was Beyonce. The singer scooped seven awards in total including the prestigious prize for video of the year for the track Formation. With this she has become the most awarded single artist in the over 30 years of the ceremony’s history. Hey daughter Blue Ivy also stole the show by wearing a $11,000 dress. Other than this the other big highlight of the night was Drake declaring his love for Rihanna during a heartfelt speech.

Events like these means that the red carpet part of the award ceremony is just as important as the main event. This year we have heard a lot about fashion and politics, women’s rights, social justice and this year the bar for the red carpet has been raised to it’s highest!
