Sabyasachi Collection Firdaus Fall 2016 Seen With Louboutins
Two true legends from the fashion industry have been working together once again this year. We are getting used to seeing a lot of designer collaborations happening every day now, but are particularly excited about the most recent one. The past weekend Sabyasachi presented his new line of the Fall/Winter 2016 collection called Firdaus along with his new accessories line of bespoke shoes and handbags in collaboration with French designer Christian Louboutin. The new Sabyasachi collection was spectacular as expected but when put together with these new accessories, it took it all to another level and we can’t stop obsessing over it.
We first saw the Sabyasachi X Christian Louboutin collaboration during India Couture Week 2015 for his show ‘Bater’, where the collection was very gothic and mostly comprised of black, gold and metallic. However this year their theme for the collection is hipster meets steampunk meets whimsical baroque. Both the designers are known for their beautiful and intricate embroidery but this year it was Sabyasachi’s famous embroideries put together with Louboutin’s signature spikes.

The clothes definitely screamed fall/winter 2016 as we saw some velvet lehengas, velvet palazzos/pants, flapper dresses, high waisted skirts, coats and garment detailing with fur. The Sabyasachi collection that had these luxury outfits were paired with accessories that varied from flats to sky-high heels and handbags from the Louboutin collaboration. The materials used were raffia, cork, leather, spikes, fur, velvet, fringes, and intricate embroidery from various parts of India.
Sabyasachi X Christian Louboutin Menswear:
This fantastic duo did not forget about the mens and have catered to both the experimental and conservative man with either heavily embellished or neutral sherwanis. All the looks were paired with Christian Louboutin’s statement-making shoes: loafers with spikes at the back or on the toe caps and floral embroidered shoes, have a look:
