Remember the famous grand bollywood wedding of Kalki in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani? Over the past week while I was away I was lucky to see the beautiful location where the wedding in the movie was shot in; Udaivilas, Udaipur. I remember watching this movie and being amazed by the inspiring decor and scenery and actually being there made me realise that it really is that beautiful in real life too! Udaipur has become famous for a royal indian destination wedding and is known as “the City of Lakes” and as the “Venice of East” along with being one of the most romantic cities of the world.

A very special wedding and one very close to my heart occurred this week as I can proudly say that I had a hand in getting this amazing couple together. You never know when things click between two people, even if they are miles apart from each other. The girl from Ahmedabad and boy from London, both amazing people and both my friends and this wedding was all about them. The romantic setting of the magnificent structures of Udaivilas have definitely created some enchanting memories. The hotel has attracted a number of travellers, filmmakers, celebrities and anyone who wants to live life king size once. The handmade miniature paintings and intricate carving on the mirror reflects royal opulence along with the royal dome-styled architecture standing beautifully on the banks of Lake Pichola. If you are looking out for a magical, bollywood, royal indian destination wedding the Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur is definitely where you should be going where they have a few beautifully manicured lush green lawns and serene natural beauty. The fairytale setting captures all the romance and splendour of a royal era.

I am so happy to be have been a part of this absolutely royal wedding and wish the couple all best and all the happiness in the world!
