The Iconic Sneaker Turns 30: Best Of Nike Air Max Street Style

The most iconic sneaker ever just turned 30 and we are celebrating! It has been 30 years since Nike introduced it’s Air Max sneaker and over the years it has majorly revolutionised sports shoes and street style. We took the liberty of putting together some of the most stylish and fashionable Nike Air Max street style looks from the over the years in honour of their 30th birthday. The shoe has gone through so many innovations over this whole period of time and they are celebrating their anniversary with a month-long series of launches that look back at their milestones in its history. They have released their latest version, the much-anticipated Nike Air VaporMax which features a totally exposed air cushion sole from heel-to-toe.

The futuristic looking shoe with an iconic visible air bubble in the midsole, arrived on the scene in 1987. This year on March 26 which is known as Air Max Day, Nike was seen celebrating their favourite shoe with the hashtag #WearYourAir around the globe. They have also come out with a new version of the first ever Air Max 1 OG along with six other special Air Max releases. They include the Air Max 1 Master, Women’s Air Max Jewell, Air Max 1 Atmos in Elephant, Air Max 90 Ultra Flyknit, Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 and the long awaited Air VaporMax.

The Nike Air Max sneakers have been the most successful in sneaker history and have really helped in bringing running shoes into the world of fashion. It is known for it’s performance benefits but a lot of it’s success has come from how they look which is why we love how they get styled with various different street style outfits. There have been many different series where we have seen all sorts of patterns and colors and paired with any outfit from jeans to a dress they give the impression of a sporty and casual look.
