Posherry’s Best Picks From The India Art Fair 2017
The India Art Fair 2017 took place over the last few days, it is South Asia’s leading platform for modern and contemporary art. We were lucky to get a chance to attend this amazing event and get to witness some beautiful art. The fair was founded in 2008 and has now become a huge platform for creative innovations across several regions. From rare pictures of Mahatma Gandhi to kinetic art from Israel, the India Art Fair that took place in Delhi really took one around the world. We spotted some amazing works of art in every kind form from, tribal, folk, abstract, contemporary, pop, sculptures and more.
We also saw something at the fair that was very engaging and was a fun public project. This project showed how art is being pushed into the collaborative space. You had to write your memories down on a piece of paper then mix two out of six colors based on the emotion it has. The paper with your memory on it is then shredded and made into a tile with your name on it and it put up on the wall.
“It is like a memory bank. Memory becomes an object. It is like solidifying the memory.”
